Therapy FAQs
What do you specialize in?
I specialize in working with pre-teens, teens, and young adults. I primarily work with teens struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, and perfectionism. I also work with individuals living with Type 1 Diabetes and siblings of the “identified patient,” who are needing their own support system.
How will therapy help me?
Therapy is helpful in many ways. When you begin, we will set measurable goals and identify objectives that will help you reach these goals. Throughout our time together, we will work on processing previous trauma, working through challenging emotions, and developing coping tools to help you meet your goals.
What can I expect?
My goal in working with my clients is to facilitate their growth and empower them to confidently take on their lives. You can expect to have a safe space where your feelings are heard and you are able to work through them. Together, we will strengthen your coping tools so that you feel prepared to take on life’s challenges.
How long will I be in therapy?
The length of time spent in therapy varies based on the individual’s needs. When working with my clients, I take a solution-focussed approach, where I work with them to build the tools that they need to work through difficult situations and challenging emotions. Once you feel that you are in this place, therapy is complete.
Will I see you in-person or online?
I offer both in-person sessions and online sessions. In-person sessions take place at my office in Westlake Village. To schedule an online or in-person appointment please contact me.
How much will therapy cost?
I charge $200 for a 45-50 minute session. Payment can be made with cash, checks, and most major credit cards. I do not take insurance but am able to provide a super bill, which you can submit to your insurance provider.
