More About Sally

Sally is an Associate Clinical Social Worker, who specializes in working with children, teenagers, and young adults living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Sally obtained her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. During her program, Sally completed her internship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in Endocrinology and the USC Westside Center for Diabetes.

She has both personal and professional experience supporting individuals living with Type 1 Diabetes. Sally is a member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Association’s (JDRF) Young Leadership Committee, where she donates her time to support young people living with T1D. Since a young age, she has been heavily involved with JDRF, volunteering at various events to help raise money for a cure. Sally’s father has been living with T1D for 55 years and Sally’s cousin has been living with T1D for 20 years, giving her unique insight into the day to day ups and downs that come with T1D. Type 1 Diabetes has been such a large part of Sally’s life and today she brings her depth of knowledge, compassion, and empathy to support kids, teens, and young adults.
